Adjetivos posesivos
Possessive adjectives describe to whom something belongs. In English they are my, your (singular), its, his, her, and our, your (plural) and their. In English you don’t have to make them plural.
My friend is nice
My friends are nice.
In Spanish you have to make the possessive adjective plural if you are talking about more than one thing that.
Mi amigo es simpático.
Mis amigos son simpáticos.
Notice that my did not change in English when the sentence was referring to one or more friends. In Spanish, if you are speaking of more friends, the possessive adjective, along with everything else in the sentence needs to be plural. You don’t have to worry about gender unless you are using nuestro (our) or vuestro (your plural). Whether a possessive adjective is plural is determined by what is possessed. The subject of the sentence tells you which adjective to use, but the things that are owned are what determine if it it plural.
Mi carro es muy bonito.
Mis carros son muy bonitos.
