The Para empezar unit, which means Let’s get started, lays down the basics on which to learn Spanish like greetings, the alphabet, numbers, telling time, how to talk about weather and classroom directions. All of these areas are in the Spanish 1-2 book you should all have at home by now.
Greetings
We’ve learned some greetings in class, but there are more! Here are some greetings as they are used in Spain. When the teacher talks about friends being out late, she does not mention that in Spain many events start at 10:00 PM. So if you go to a concert, it’s usually not over time midnight and by the time you head home after a snack it can be 1:00 AM.
